Cora Stock ARCA
of Cora Stock Ceramics
Ceramic artist and printmaker
Cora trained at Kingston-upon-Thames University in sculpture & 3D design, then studied ceramics at the Royal College of Art. She also has a PGCE from Goldsmiths College (UOL). Her teaching career spans from being a lecturer in ceramics in further, secondary and adult education to now running ceramics classes from her studio.
The inspiration for Cora's work comes from the sea and the surrounding countryside. She enjoys both ceramics and printmaking and often combines aspects of both mediums. She makes etchings, engraved ceramic plaques, and sculptural forms inspired by her environment. She likes to use drawing and text in her hand-built ceramics and sculptures.
Her aim has always been to foster an appreciation of the arts, working with other artists and organisations putting on events to raise the profile of the arts in my local community.

Catherine Metcalf
Artist - Painting and Photography
Catherine studied in a top London Art College. Won the David Murray Prize for Landscape Painting from the Royal Academy of Art.
She loves to go out drawing in location and absorb the atmosphere and puts all her emotions and feelings about the places she visits in to her work. Sometimes she has a dream or memory while sleeping and gets up and starts painting it out of the blue years after experiencing the place and situation or meeting a person. she starts with an idea and that evolves. Some paintings take months to complete.
